58:7 Ministries exists to Provide for the poor, Protect the vulnerable, and Prepare the next generation’s leaders who will protect the cause of justice.
58:7 Ministries addresses the needs of many by partnering with local organizations around the world who diligently strive to live Isaiah 58.
As we join many in seeking His kingdom on this earth, we believe there will be great transformation in lives. And so we strive to prepare the next generation of leaders who will continue our legacy of protecting the vulnerable and providing for those in need, whether in the US corporate world or around the globe through international missions.
58:7 Ministries was founded by a group of missions-minded people who took to heart what God proclaims to be proper sacrifice. In Isaiah 58, and specifically in verses 6-10, God the Father states what He considers proper worship and true fasting. And He then proclaims the promise to His people who live out these true sacrifices of worship:
Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice
and untie the cords of the yoke,
to set the oppressed free
and break every yoke?
Is it not to share your food with the hungry
and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—
when you see the naked, to clothe them,
and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
Then your light will break forth like the dawn,
and your healing will quickly appear;
then your righteousness[a] will go before you,
and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.
Then you will call, and the Lord will answer;
you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.
If you do away with the yoke of oppression,
with the pointing finger and malicious talk,
and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry
and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,
then your light will rise in the darkness,
and your night will become like the noonday.
We believe His Word to be true. We know how much the Lord cares for the poor, the oppressed, and the vulnerable. As we strive to mimic Him, we uplift His cause to provide for the poor, protect the vulnerable, and prepare leaders to lift up His Kingdom work.
We stand with broken hearts to the things that break His. And with open hands to accept whomever He calls us to.
